It’s always good to give and many celebrities and artists are doing just that.

DoSomething.org has been tracking the most chartable celebrities of 2012. Several artists give throughout the year, and every penny quickly adds up. In order, below are the TOP 5 most charitable celebrities of 2012:

#5. Securing the fifth most charitable celeb of 2012 is Justin Bieber. The Biebs raised over $1 million for his charity, Believe Charity Drive and also donated $100,000 so homeless children could go to school. In addition, he also worked with Pencils of Promise to build schools in third-world countries.

#4. Coming in at number four is Lady Gaga who donated $1.2 million to start her own charity called Born This Way Foundation. For the singer who was bullied growing up, her foundation strives to fight bullying and promote acceptance. In addition to this, after Hurricane Sandy hit, Gaga pledged $1 million to help with the relief efforts.

#3. The only non-singer to make the top five is “Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum. The actor was recently deemed Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, and even with those striking looks, he’s looking to help out big time. He and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum raised millions for the Rainforest Foundation and also support Angels for Animals and sponsor abused farm animals via Gentle Barn.

#2. Coming in at number two is pop singer Miley Cyrus. Much like Channing Tatum, Cyrus also loves animals. On her 20th birthday she promoted Saving Spot! Rescue, which is a nonprofit that saves dogs from being euthanized. Along with this effort, she helped raise awareness for Save the Music Foundation, the Starkey Hearing Foundation and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

#1. And the most charitable celeb of 2012 is…? Taylor Swift! She donated 4 million to the Country Hall of Fame Museum, has been helping children battling cancer and recently received the Ripple of Hope Award from the Robert F. Kennedy Center for all of her charity work.
