Channing Tatum has been laying low since the birth of his daughter this past May, but the new father took to Instagram on Sunday (February 9) to let fans know that he has something special planned for the future.
The actor shared a photo of himself sitting at a desk with a pen in his mouth and paper in hand, staring at a bust statue of his Magic Mike co-star Matthew McConaughey. Channing captioned his photo, “What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe”.
Although the original Magic Mike was based loosely on Channing’s real-life past as a stripper, the film has a surprisingly dark plot. Channing told The Hollywood Reporter that the sequel would be a comedy, “a road trip movie and it will essentially be the movie that everyone thought the first one was going to be. The first one, we had to make not so cheesy and campy; this one we are going to swing for the fences.”
Are you excited for the sequel?
